Teams

• Teams is a proprietary business communication platform developed by Microsoft, as part of the Microsoft 365 family of products. Teams primarily competes with the similar service Slack, offering workspace chat and videoconferencing, file storage, and application integration.


• Teams is the replacement solution for Skype for Business, which officially retires on 31st July 2021 and will not be accessible after this date. Skype for Business is no longer available to new customers. Instead, Teams is now the standard solution for calling, messaging, collaboration and meeting capabilities.
